The New Orleans Warehouse District
|
| The New Orleans Warehouse District is the place to be if you are looking for a downtown condo or a loft. The prices in the area have been solid for the past 5 years and have been level since Katrina in the fall of 2005. The months following Katrina the market was hot and prices were slightly up form the pre-Katrina prices. The areas prices however quickly leveled off.
We are seeing many people buy second homes in the area for a variety of reason and most of the rental complexes have been converted into condos. The area has a lot of things going in its favor. It is blocks form the New Orleans French Quarter. It is on the Mississippi River and the New Orleans Convention Center is a center of activity. You have Harrah’s Casino, River Walk, Cruise ship docking, professional offices, Federal Courthouses, Green spaces and Parks, along with places to eat and drink. Parking is availiable and walking is not not bad. The New Orleans Condo Trends Blog will give you updates and various tidbits on the Warehouse District area. |
